Hello! This is Dohun Lee, a Ph. D. student in Data Science studying at the Graduate School of Data Science, Seoul National University.

My research lies at the intersection of Causal Inference, Data-driven Decision-making, and Machine Learning, with a focus on building interpretable and robust analytical frameworks for complex socioeconomic systems.

Before joining GSDS, I completed my Bachelor and Master’s studies in Microeconomics at Sungkyunkwan University, where I developed a strong foundation in econometric research and causal modeling. My current work spans several interdisciplinary projects, including:

  • Synthetic Control Methods for policy evaluation and structural robustness,
  • Machine Learning-driven Patent Data Analytics exploring inventor mobility and innovation networks, and
  • Variational Inference for more inclusive causal inference.

My research aims to bridge rigorous econometric reasoning with modern machine learning techniques, building models that are not only powerful, but also transparent and socially meaningful.
